How to apply Fake Bake

Fake Bake self tanning products are recommended by dermatologists. However it is always best to test a small area of your body to tan first in case you have sensitive skin.
Step 1 Exfoliate

To begin your Fake Bake experience exfoliate your whole body in the shower with Fake Bake's passion fruit body polish. Fake Bake's body polish is soapless product which will not leave any residue on the skin. Areas to pay attention to are the feet, knees and elbows. 

Step 2 Moisturise 

After you have exfoliated, it is best to apply the Fake Bake skin smoothie especially to dry areas such as your knees, elbows, heels and feet. Fake Bake tan lotion and Fake Bake tanning mousse has moisturisers in, however it is best to use the Fake Bake skin smoothie. 
Try to avoid using any moisturisers containing oil as this could stop the tanning agents from working correctly and could also affect the outcome of your tan.

Step 3 Apply Fake Bake tan lotion or Fake Bake tanning mousse

Apply Fake Bake tan lotion or mousse. Use gloves when applying the tan and apply the Fake Bake skin smoothie to any dry areas. Apply in circular motions around the body. 

For best results it is recommend that you sleep in the product or leave it on for at least four hours before showering. Once the product has developed you will notice that you are darker than when you first started. This is because your Fake Bake tan has developed underneath the colour guide. Shower off thoroughly, you will notice the water will turn a muddy colour. Please note this is not the tan washing off, it is just the colour guide.
